RFID wood card is an environmentally friendly smart card that embeds radio frequency identification (RFID) or near field communication (NFC) chips into sustainable wood materials.It combines the natural, durable and biodegradable properties of wood with RFID/NFC contactless read-write technology. RFID wood card, non-contact data transmission through electromagnetic field: the reader emits 13.56MHz (HF/NFC) or 860- 960MHz (UHF) radio frequency signal, the built-in antenna of the wood card receives the signal to generate induced current, activate the chip. After the chip processes the data, it transmits the information back to the reader through the antenna. The entire process requires no physical contact, and the reading range is usually 1-10cm (HF/NFC) or greater (UHF). Most wooden cards are passive tags that do not require batteries, are powered by readers, and have a life span of more than 10 years. RFID wood card often uses sustainable wood, such as maple, bambo, basswood, beech, cherry, black walnut, sandalwood, oak, thickness of about 0.8-1.3mm, smooth surface natural texture, bending resistance, waterproof wood optional. Standard credit card size (85.5mm × 54mm × 0.84mm), or customized (such as rounded corners, perforated), support laser cutting various shapes.
HF/NFC chips are commonly used in wood cards, suitable for short-range applications. Its data store supports unique UID, user data, and encryption keys. Data can be erased repeatedly, compatible with Android/iOS NFC read and write.
